Reversed cake with caramelized apples using a Thermomix

Imagine a cake that turns the traditional upside-down concept on its head—literally! This reversed cake with caramelized apples is a delightful twist on a classic, where the sweet, gooey caramel forms a luscious base, cradling tender apples that have been kissed by the warmth of the oven. Originating from the French 'tarte tatin', this dessert brings a touch of elegance to any table. Fun fact: the tarte tatin was invented by accident when two sisters forgot to put the pastry on top of the apples. So, while we embrace this happy culinary accident, our reversed cake takes it a step further, allowing the caramel to shine as a star of the show. It’s the perfect way to impress your guests—just remember to warn them that it's all about reverse psychology when they take that first bite!
