Oatmeal Bites using a Thermomix

Ingredients

  • 150 g Oatmeal flake
  • 50 g Butter
  • 50 g Granulated sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 5 g Baking powder
  • 100 g Milk chocolate
  • 50 g Hazelnut

Steps

Oatmeal Base

  1. Add 150 g of oatmeal flake in the food processor bowl.
  2. Mix manual: 10sec / 0°C / Speed 10.
  3. Add 50 g of butter, 50 g of granulated sugar, 1 egg, 5 g of baking powder in the food processor bowl.
  4. Mix manual: 20sec / 0°C / Speed 4.
  5. Transfer the content of the food processor bowl on a workplan.
  6. Shape the dough into small, round biscuits.
  7. Place the content of the workplan on a baking tray.
  8. Preheat the oven at 180°C.
  9. Cook in the oven at 180°C during 12min.
  10. Cook for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  11. Transfer the content of the baking tray on a strainer let cool.

Chocolate Coating

  1. Add 100 g of milk chocolate in the food processor bowl.
  2. Mix manual: 3:00min / 50°C / Speed 2. Scrape the sides of the bowl with the spatula
  3. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and repeat if necessary until fully melted.

Assembly

  1. Transfer the content of the strainer in a preparation content.
  2. Dip each cooled oatmeal biscuit into the melted Milk Chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated.
  3. Place the content of the preparation content on a baking paper.
  4. Sprinkle 50 g of hazelnut on the preparation content.
  5. Sprinkle chopped Hazelnut evenly over the top of each biscuit before the chocolate sets.
  6. Setaside the preparation content in a fridge during 15min.
  7. Allow the chocolate to set completely before serving. You can speed up the process by placing the biscuits in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.
  8. Serve Immediately.
