Popovers are the whimsical cousins of Yorkshire pudding, originating from the United Kingdom but beloved by many across the globe. With their charmingly puffy tops and airy insides, they’re a delightful testament to the magic of simple ingredients: butter, eggs, milk, and flour. Legend has it that the first popover was made by a curious baker who wanted to create a lighter version of Yorkshire pudding. The result? A deliciously airy treat that practically begs for a drizzle of honey or a dollop of jam. These golden wonders are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as an accompaniment to savory dishes, and they’ll make you feel like a culinary magician every time they rise magnificently in the oven!
