Orange Blossom Semolina Cake using a Thermomix

  • 200 g Granulated sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 2 g Orange
  • 20 g Orange blossom water
  • 120 g Milk
  • 250 g Fine semolina
  • 10 g Baking powder
  • 5 g Icing sugar

Steps

Cake batter

  1. Add 120 g of butter, 200 g of granulated sugar in the food processor bowl.
  2. Mix manual: 2:00min / 0°C / Speed 3.
  3. Add 1 egg in the food processor bowl.
  4. Mix manual: 15sec / 0°C / Speed 3.
  5. Add 1 egg in the food processor bowl.
  6. Mix manual: 15sec / 0°C / Speed 3.
  7. Add 1 egg in the food processor bowl.
  8. Mix manual: 15sec / 0°C / Speed 3.
  9. Add 2 g of orange, 20 g of orange blossom water, 120 g of milk in the food processor bowl.
  10. Mix manual: 30sec / 0°C / Speed 3.
  11. Add 250 g of fine semolina, 10 g of baking powder in the food processor bowl.
  12. Mix manual: 1:00min / 0°C / Speed 3. The mixture should be homogeneous, if it is not the case scrape the edges of the bowl with the spatula and mix again

Baking

  1. Preheat the oven at 180°C.
  2. Grease and flour a 20cm cake pan.
  3. Pour the content of the food processor bowl in a cake mold.
  4. Cook in the oven at 180°C during 30min.
  5. Check if the cake is done with a toothpick, if it comes out clean the cake is ready
  6. Setaside the cake mold in a pan let cool during 10min.
  7. Unmould the content of the cake mold on a strainer let cool.

Final Touches

  1. Sprinkle 5 g of icing sugar on the cake mold.
  2. Serve Immediately.
