A delicate blend of citrus zest and fragrant orange blossom water infuses a tender semolina crumb, creating a dessert that's both comforting and elegant. Lightly dusted with icing sugar, it's the perfect treat to brighten any day.
Ingredients
- 120 g Butter
- 200 g Granulated sugar
- 3 Eggs
- 2 g Orange
- 20 g Orange blossom water
- 120 g Milk
- 250 g Fine semolina
- 10 g Baking powder
- 5 g Icing sugar
Steps
Cake batter
- Add 120 g of butter, 200 g of granulated sugar in the food processor bowl.
- Mix manual: 2:00min / 0°C / Speed 3.
- Add 1 egg in the food processor bowl.
- Mix manual: 15sec / 0°C / Speed 3.
- Add 1 egg in the food processor bowl.
- Mix manual: 15sec / 0°C / Speed 3.
- Add 1 egg in the food processor bowl.
- Mix manual: 15sec / 0°C / Speed 3.
- Add 2 g of orange, 20 g of orange blossom water, 120 g of milk in the food processor bowl.
- Mix manual: 30sec / 0°C / Speed 3.
- Add 250 g of fine semolina, 10 g of baking powder in the food processor bowl.
- Mix manual: 1:00min / 0°C / Speed 3. The mixture should be homogeneous, if it is not the case scrape the edges of the bowl with the spatula and mix again
Baking
- Preheat the oven at 180°C.
- Grease and flour a 20cm cake pan.
- Pour the content of the food processor bowl in a cake mold.
- Cook in the oven at 180°C during 30min.
- Check if the cake is done with a toothpick, if it comes out clean the cake is ready
- Setaside the cake mold in a pan let cool during 10min.
- Unmould the content of the cake mold on a strainer let cool.
Final Touches
- Sprinkle 5 g of icing sugar on the cake mold.
- Serve Immediately.
