Financiers using a Thermomix

Financiers are the delightful little French cakes that have become the darling of pastry lovers everywhere, thanks to their moist texture and nutty flavor. Originating in the late 19th century, these treats were created by a French pastry chef who wanted to make a portable snack for the wealthy financiers of Paris. The cakes are typically made with almond flour, which gives them their distinctive taste, and they’re often baked in small, rectangular molds that resemble gold bars—after all, who wouldn't want to indulge in a treat that looks like a little treasure? With a splash of white rum for a hint of sophistication, these irresistible morsels are perfect with a cup of coffee or as a sweet pick-me-up during the day. So go ahead, channel your inner French pastry chef and whip up a batch of these golden delights, because life is too short to skip dessert!
