Ah, Eggnog – the creamy, dreamy holiday elixir that has been warming hearts and bellies since the medieval ages! Originating from a posh drink called 'posset,' which was enjoyed by the elite, eggnog is now a festive staple that invites everyone to the party. With its rich blend of egg yolks, sugar, and a splash of dark rum, this delightful concoction is like a cozy hug in a glass! Legend has it that George Washington himself had a penchant for this festive beverage, crafting his own version with a generous amount of rum, rye, and even sherry. So, pour yourself a cup, sprinkle a pinch of nutmeg, and let the holiday cheer unfold – just don’t forget to leave some for Santa!
