Quince filled Pastelitos using a Fagor

  • 300 g Quince
  • 100 g Granulated sugar
  • 100 g Water
  • 1 Egg

Steps

Quince Filling

  1. Peel, and add 300 g of quince in the food processor bowl.
  2. Add 100 g of granulated sugar, 100 g of water in the food processor bowl.
  3. Mix manual: 25:00min / 100°C / Speed 2.
  4. Mix manual: 30sec / 0°C / Speed 8. Scrape the sides of the bowl with the spatula
  5. Setaside the preparation content in a bowl let cool.

Assembling the Pastelitos

  1. Preheat the oven at 200°C.
  2. Roll out the Puff Pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 3mm thickness.
  3. Cut the pastry into 10 cm squares.
  4. Place a tablespoon of Quince Filling in the center of each square.
  5. Fold the pastry over to form a triangle, pressing the edges to seal. Crimp the edges with a fork.
  6. Brush 1 egg on a pastry brush.

Baking

  1. Place the pastelitos on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  2. Cook in the oven at 200°C during 15min.
  3. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
  4. Let the pastelitos cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  5. Transfer pastelitos to a wire rack to cool completely.
