50 g Butter
7 g Dehydrated baker's yeast
5 g Cassonade brown sugar
5 g Salt
500 g Sunflower oil

Steps

Dough Preparation

Add 250 g of flour, 120 g of whole milk, 50 g of butter, 7 g of dehydrated baker's yeast, 5 g of cassonade brown sugar, 5 g of salt in the food processor bowl.
Mix knead: 3:00min / 0°C / Speed 4.
Transfer the content of the food processor bowl in a bowl.
Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Shaping and Frying

Punch down the risen dough.
Roll it out on a lightly floured surface to about 1 cm thickness.
Cut the dough into small squares or diamonds (about 5 cm).
Add 500 g of sunflower oil in a pan.
Cook in the pan with an oil base at 170°C.
Ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
Fry the baursaki for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown and puffed up.
Turn them occasionally to ensure even cooking.

Serving

Remove the content of the pan by using a spoon on a plate.
Place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Serve Hot.
