Ingredients
- 500 g Kataifi filo
- 200 g Butter
- 150 g Water
- 300 g Granulated sugar
- 15 g Lemon juice
- 250 g Grated mozzarella
- 50 g Shard of roasted pistachio
- 1 Vanilla ice cream
Steps
Kataifi Mixture
- Add 500 g of kataifi filo in the food processor bowl.
- Mix manual: 5sec / 0°C / Speed 5.
- Transfer the content of the food processor bowl in a bowl.
- Wash the food processor bowl.
- Add 200 g of butter in the bowl.
- Mix well to ensure all strands are coated.
- Setaside the preparation content on a workplan.
Syrup
- Add 150 g of water in a saucepan.
- Add 300 g of granulated sugar in the saucepan.
- Boil the saucepan.
- Cook in the saucepan during 10min.
- Add 15 g of lemon juice in the saucepan.
- Setaside the preparation content on the workplan let cool.
Cooking
- Preheat the oven at 180°C.
- Grease a round baking dish with Butter.
- Place half the content of the bowl in a baking dish.
- Spread half of the Kataifi mixture evenly in the prepared dish. Press firmly to create a base.
- Sprinkle 250 g of grated mozzarella over the baking dish.
- Sprinkle Mozzarella evenly over the Kataifi base, avoiding the edges.
- Transfer the content of the bowl in the baking dish.
- Cover with the remaining Kataifi mixture, pressing gently to compact it.
- Cook in the oven at 180°C during 20min to 25min.
- Cook in the oven at 180°C during 5min.
Finishing
- Pour the content of the saucepan over the baking dish.
- Remove from oven and immediately pour the cooled syrup evenly over the hot Künefe.
- Let it soak for a few minutes, allowing the syrup to be absorbed.
- Sprinkle 50 g of shard of roasted pistachio on the baking dish.
- Place 1 vanilla ice cream on a plate.
- Serve Immediately.
